We are in a time of visioning, both as a congregation and as a denomination. Over the next few months, we will review the various portions of our completed vision. We will examine closely the statement of the Church of the Brethren and prayerfully consider how our own congregation is called by God to carry out the work of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. Ian Zimmerman is a Northern Bedford County High School graduate, but you may know of him from his appearance as a contestant and prize winner on the History Channel show “Forged In Fire”. But he says he is so much more than that. Ian says, most importantly he is a Christ follower. Ian is using the talents God blessed him with to make a wide variety of beautiful creations. In an interview, Ian’s father, Ricky Zimmerman,said he admires his son’s skills, but also his close relationship with his beliefs.“As his parents, we know that Ian keeps God close to his heart. As long as the things he’s going after doesn’t cost him his beliefs, he’ll be able to do nothing but succeed in life. Ian will share his experiences and some of his amazing creations. These creations range from small blades and knives, to intricate fine jewelry, to a sword that is literally from space! You won’t want to miss everything Ian has to share with us!
